In texture and vibe, it’s gloriously Rhythm & Sound, yet in tempo and bassweight– the latter of which swerves and mutates in understated splendor– it’s dubstep at its best. Not cartoonishly dark, like much of new school angry dubstep, but edgy and malevolent, like the early El-B releases that inspired Hyperdub’s creation. ”
